a laboratory technician vacancy has arisen in our fast-growing company. This is a fantastic opportunity to join our team.

salary range£26,500 per annum
job purpose- to share responsibility for activities in the assured micro laboratory including routine testing and laboratory administration.
- to provide laboratory testing to customers.
- undertake microbiological laboratory testing.
- ensure compliance with departmental procedures and eu gmp regulations.
- undertake some quality investigations in support of the lab lead.
- report routine test results and support investigation and resolution activities, where appropriate.
- maintain full, accurate and retrievable laboratory records of all testing.
- maintain the laboratory and laboratory equipment in a clean, safe, operational condition, including arranging and carrying out calibration tests where applicable.
- provide training and support to members of staff carrying out routine testing and sampling.
- maintain all lab systems and records as specified in assured micro sops.
- maintain stock levels and process receipt of media and testing consumables.
- compile/review sops and conduct laboratory validations, as required.
- undertake training as required to enable the necessary testing activities to be carried out.
- support the update of sops and change forms.
- contribute to tasks and assist with closure of change controls, quality reports and capa’s.
- contribute to client/regulatory audits as required.
- any other tasks or duties reasonably assigned to you.
- sampling at client sites where required, working under gmp conditions.
- background in scientific training and/or experience in microbiology.
- knowledge of eu gmp license facilities.
- good it skills.
- knowledge of data integrity principles.
- aptitude for learning and professional development.
- personal drive and self-motivation.
- good time management skills.
- ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
- good planning and recording skills.
- fluent spoken and written english.
