Biology Subject Matter Expert (AI Training)

The Role

We're looking for biology experts to help train and improve the next generation of AI systems. At Alignerr, we partner with the world's leading AI research labs 7 and we need sharp scientific minds like yours to make AI smarter, more accurate, and more reliable in the life sciences.

Your deep knowledge of biology, biochemistry, or biotechnology will directly shape how AI reasons through complex scientific problems. No AI background needed 12 just rigorous thinking and a passion for your field.

What You'll Do
  • Design challenging, advanced biology questions to rigorously test AI performance
  • Develop clear, step-by-step solutions with well-structured scientific reasoning
  • Evaluate AI-generated responses for accuracy, depth, and quality of reasoning
  • Collaborate with researchers to build and refine benchmarks spanning undergraduate to Masters-level biology topics
  • Provide structured, actionable feedback that improves AI outputs over time
Who You Are
  • Pursuing or holding a Master s degree (or higher) in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a closely related field
  • Strong command of advanced biology concepts and scientific reasoning
  • Able to communicate complex ideas clearly and precisely in writing
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently
  • No prior AI or data annotation experience required
Nice to Have
  • Experience with data annotation, quality evaluation, or academic assessment design
  • Familiarity with large language models or AI evaluation workflows
  • Background spanning multiple biology sub-disciplines (e.g., molecular biology, genetics, physiology)
