General Description
The University of Strathclyde is recruiting a Research Associate to contribute to a funded research project within a leading academic department. The position offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative and interdisciplinary research environment, supporting the delivery of high-impact research aligned with the university’s strategic priorities.
The successful candidate will undertake independent and team-based research, contributing to the design and execution of research methodologies, data collection, and analysis. The role includes producing high-quality academic outputs such as journal publications, technical reports, and conference presentations.
The postholder will work closely with principal investigators and project collaborators, both within the institution and with external partners where relevant. Additional responsibilities may include supporting grant applications, contributing to knowledge exchange activities, and participating in departmental academic life, including seminars and workshops.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must hold a PhD (or be close to completion) in a relevant discipline related to the research project.
Required Expertise/Skills
Strong research background with evidence of independent and collaborative research experience
Ability to design and implement research methodologies
Experience in data analysis and interpretation relevant to the field
Demonstrated ability to publish research findings in peer-reviewed venues
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work effectively within interdisciplinary teams
Salary Details
Salary will be offered in accordance with the University of Strathclyde’s Research Associate salary scale and will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
