The Strathclyde Institute of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciencesseeks to appoint a Research Associate in Translational Bioanalysis to join an interdisciplinary research team developing and evaluating innovative biologics, nanomedicines and advanced therapeutic platforms. Working within a dynamictranslational research environment, you will contribute to the development, optimisation and application of analytical methods for the characterisation of biologics and complex pharmaceuticalsystems.
You will possess a science-based education to PhD level, with expertise in bioanalysis, pharmaceutical sciences, analytical chemistry, molecular biology, or a related discipline. The successful candidate will have substantial laboratory experience in the application of analytical techniques for the characterisationof biological molecules, nanoparticle systems, proteins,antibodies and/or advanced therapeutics. Experience in method development, data analysis and interpretation, and the operation of advanced analytical instrumentation is essential.
Working collaboratively with academic, clinical and industrial partners, you will support multiple research projects, contribute topublications and funding applications, and assist in developing new analytical capabilities within the research group. You will behighly organised, motivated, and capable of working independently whilst contributing effectively within amultidisciplinary team.
This post is of 24 months duration in the first instance and maybe extended subject to project funding.
