BANK COOK/CHEF

Band 3 - £28,011 - £30,230 pro rata

Plus £1,406 Distant Islands Allowance pro rata

Shifts include 7.00am
-2.00pm & 12.30pm-7.30pm

An opportunity has arisen for a Bank Chef/Cook to join our existing team. Duties will include producing and serving high-quality meals for patients, staff and external customers. You will also be required to interpret and manage all operational aspects of the kitchen and associated areas including deliveries, preparation, storage rooms, wash up, and supervision of staff working in these areas.

Preferred experience within a commercial/industrial background would be an advantage but not necessary. You would be expected to have comprehensive knowledge of food hygiene & H.A.C.C.P. regulations and have good all-round food preparation and leadership skills to carry out this job successfully. Candidates would require City & Guilds 706/1, 706/2 or SVQ level 3 (catering/professional cookery) and an intermediate food hygiene certificate essential to the post.

If you have a positive and flexible approach with the above skills and want to be part of the Catering team, we would like to hear from you. Candidates should have good leadership and communication skills, be self-motivated, and able to work on their own initiative. You must be able to work flexible shift patterns, including weekends.
