Global Talent 2020 are excited to be working with one of Glasgow’s leading private Garden Centre and Lifestyle operators at their beautifully appointed venue on the eastern outskirts of the city. This busy restaurant venue is looking for a passionate Head Pastry Chef for their quality daytime-focused operations.

The Head Pastry Chef role is part of a dedicated Kitchen brigade, producing high-level, fresh, popular food menus across the main restaurant, lounge cafe area of this trendy flagship venue.

The role also offers the opportunity to work a strictly set 7:00 am until 3:00 pm, 5/7, rota, and our client wants to ensure the best work/life balance for its brigade. Reporting into the Head Chef and Front of House Manager, this person will lead a small, dedicated team in producing memorable cakes, patisseries, gateaux, baked goods and the like with the drive to elevate the offerings to the customer base.

person:

Our long-established client at Global Talent 2020 is looking for a growing Head Pastry Chef talent in the kitchen. Someone who will always be creative, innovative, and be readily approachable. You must possess a good understanding of all areas of Patisserie, Baking and Chocolate products/processes, and possess a positive can-do mentality. You will be highly communicative, have sound leadership skills, and illustrate a desire to grow, as this business is ever evolving, and there will be continued career opportunities as the operator is opening further sites this year.

The ideal Head Pastry Chef candidate must have had prior experience working in a volume food-led quality Restaurant, large Hotel, or high-end Café concept, specifically with quality patisserie/baked goods volume experience. You must be able to demonstrate good all-round culinary technical skills, whilst managing costs, Food GP%, and also training, coaching, and developing others within the Pastry section team.

All Chef applicants will need to be able to demonstrate their technical abilities at the interview stage.
