Chef de Partie

Alexander Steele Recruitment is partnering with a premium Scottish food and hospitality business to recruit a talented Chef de Partie for a high-quality kitchen operation based in Moray.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious chef looking to develop their career within a professional and fast-paced environment focused on quality produce and exceptional customer experience.

The Role

The Chef de Partie will take responsibility for managing a designated kitchen section, ensuring high standards of food preparation, presentation, hygiene, and operational efficiency. The successful candidate will work closely with senior chefs while supporting and mentoring junior team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a designated section of the kitchen and maintain high food quality standards.
  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes in line with company specifications.
  • Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef with menu development and daily operations.
  • Supervise and support junior kitchen staff during service.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, allergen, hygiene, and health & safety standards.
  • Maintain stock rotation, portion control, and minimise waste.
  • Keep workstations clean, organised, and service-ready at all times.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
About You
  • Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role within a professional kitchen.
  • Strong understanding of food safety, allergen management, and kitchen operations.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Passion for high-quality food and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and busy periods.
  • Intermediate Food Hygiene certification.
