Aylesham Community Trust is looking for a reliable, enthusiastic and experienced Assistant Cook/Chef to join our friendly catering team.
This role is centred around supporting our popular Sunday Carvery, with additional opportunities to provide cover for annual leave, staff absence and busy periods. You will also help deliver catering for weddings, buffets, wakes, evening events and other functions held at the Trust.
Working alongside our Catering Team Leader, you will help prepare, cook and present high-quality food while maintaining excellent food hygiene and customer service standards.
- Assisting with the preparation and service of our popular Sunday Carvery
- Preparing and cooking food to a consistently high standard
- We're always extending our offer so this would also help with supporting catering for weddings, buffets, wakes and other events
- Maintaining excellent food hygiene, cleanliness and food safety standards
- Working independently when required and as part of a supportive team
- Helping ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the kitchen
- Has previous experience working in a kitchen, caf E9, restaurant or similar catering environment
- Is available to work Sundays (essential)
- Can provide flexible cover for holidays, staff absence and busy periods
- Takes pride in producing high-quality food
- Has a good understanding of food hygiene and food safety
- Is organised, reliable and able to work well under pressure
