Retail Assistant – Full Time

Hours:

39 hours across 5 days per week.

Pay varies by age:

• 16-20 years old: £10.95 per hour
• 21 years and older: £12.81 per hour

• Greet customers with a friendly smile and simple hello
• Assist customers in finding the items they need
• Operate tills efficiently, offer help with packing, and provide a friendly thank you and goodbye
• Handle stock carefully during deliveries, quickly placing products into freezers and on shelves for customers
• Work with the team to complete daily and weekly routines that keep the shop safe, clean, and tidy

• Friendly, positive, and hard‑working approach to work
• Enjoy a busy work environment, capable of juggling multiple tasks such as deliveries, till service, customer assistance, and cleaning routines
• Reliable and dependable as part of a small team; must perform well on each shift and support colleagues and customers
• Flexible with shift changes, including covering for teammates during holidays or other absences; rota is planned three weeks in advance and personal commitments are considered
• Will complete an Employment Verification check if offered the position

Opportunities exist for promotion to Shop and Area Manager positions from within the company, supported by training programmes and experience gained in shop operations.
