Hours: 20 hours per week.

We are looking to recruit a new retail supervisor for our shop in Cranhill, Glasgow City. This is a permanent part‑time position working a variety of shifts, with a minimum of 20 hours of work each week, generally including some weekend work.

We offer an hourly pay rate of £13.61 and you will be guaranteed a minimum of 20 hours of work per week. This means you will be earning at least £272 per week and, if you’re looking to earn a bit more, overtime may be available.

• Be an important part of the management team and support the manager in leading the team to run an efficient shop and provide great service to customers.
• Take full responsibility for running the shop in the manager’s absence, ensuring customers are looked after, deliveries are processed quickly and shop routines maintain a safe, clean and tidy environment.
• Open and close the shop, handle cash, place orders and develop your team of retail assistants.
• Take responsibility for controlling operational costs including shrinkage, waste and payroll.

• A friendly, positive, hard‑working approach to work.
• A people person who finds it easy to get on with everyone and builds strong working relationships.
• Trustworthy and reliable; your team and customers will depend on you to do your job to the best of your ability at all times.
• Some experience as a supervisor, team leader or manager in retail or a similar industry is desirable but not required; we welcome those who are eager to take the first steps in a retail management career.
• Ability to complete a Basic DBS check (England/Wales) or Disclosure Scotland check (Scotland) if hired for the advertised position.
