Group Sales & Marketing Director

An international supplier of packaging products is recruiting a Group Sales and Marketing Director whose role will be to prepare and deliver global business development, commercial and marketing strategies. This is an outstanding opportunity to drive a team in both the UK and US. You will establish, coordinate and enforce plans to increase group revenue, build brand presence and gain new opportunities.

You will increase company revenue by identifying profitable new business opportunities and sectors, whilst maintaining and growing the groups business presence in its existing key regions and sectors on a global basis.

This highly coveted role requires someone who comes from a background in New Business development and who is driven by the execution of customer driven strategies, and remain close to deliverables within the plan.

To be successful in this role, you will be a visible leader, hands on and part of the team. You will see the importance of being close with customers and being engaged directly in execution of any commercial strategy.

Role Responsibilities
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities
  • Build relationships with customers, suppliers, distributors partners and vendors
  • Evaluate existing partnerships and sales efforts with an eye toward building on what works and changing what doesn’t
  • Manage key relationship and work to build new ones
  • Expand the profile and reach of the company
  • Lead sales, marketing, customer-service and sales account management teams
  • Build cross-functional teams to guide and nourish sustainable, long-term growth
  • Track emerging markets and trends
  • Identify and recommend new services
  • Research and identify new markets
  • Build and maintain relationships
  • Conduct webinars, host customers and deliver presentations to raise product profile
  • Travel to vendor locations and other locations
  • Collaborate closely with Senior Management
  • Support continuous improvement activities and initiatives
