Douglas Park BMW is looking for a Local Business Development Manager.
OverviewThe position is located at our Glasgow City Centre Branch. This modern facility includes BMW and MINI and Motorail Showrooms, Aftersales and Bodyshop. We seek an individual passionate about delivering an outstanding customer experience and thriving in a fast-paced environment. The candidate must have previous experience in a similar role and hold a full UK Driving License.
Responsibilities- Achieve agreed sales targets for new BMW and MINI cars in Corporate and Local Business, within defined operating and financial guidelines. Priority to LBDE but not exclusive to.
- Expand and maintain our database of business users, including comprehensive details of principal contacts, fleet size, make‑up, anticipated replacement cycles etc.
- Collect contact details from prospects/visitors who might show an interest in purchasing a vehicle (name, address, email and two contact numbers) and follow up within 24 hours. All details must be entered onto Enquiry Max.
- Contribute to the development of plans, policies and procedures to ensure smooth achievement of all sales tasks.
- Stay up to date with the latest products, technology and accessories, and achieve sales targets.
- Excellent sales, communication, negotiating and influencing skills.
- Proven excellent customer service skills with a commitment to providing the best possible standard of customer service.
- Strong presentation, organisational and prioritisation skills.
- Good judgement and ability to act with discretion, diplomacy and tact.
- Ability to remain calm, well organised and confident, particularly when working to demanding deadlines.
- Customer‑centric attitude.
- An outstanding attitude and passion for sales and customer service.
- An enthusiastic, dynamic and team‑orientated personality that offers help and support to others, and can take direction and assist colleagues when necessary.
- Ability to work autonomously when necessary.
- Willingness to learn, develop, and keep up‑to‑date with complex/technical/product information.
- Thorough knowledge of computer applications (MS Office, Drive).
