• Own and execute Account Plans for allocated brokers within the region
• Build and maintain strong broker relationships through regular development meetings
• Collaborate with UK regional underwriters to support new business wins
• Confidently present Markel’s specialist propositions to brokers
• Contribute insights to regional meetings
• Keep broker data accurate and meaningful within our CRM system
• Identify and onboard new broker prospects to grow the pipeline

• Experience in business development within commercial insurance or broking
• A track record of managing and executing account plans
• Strong broker engagement and relationship‑building skills
• A proactive, collaborative approach to delivering the right outcomes for brokers and customers
• The drive to contribute to a high‑growth, high‑performing team
