Business Development Representative (BDR)
Location: Glasgow
Salary: £25,000 base + uncapped commission
The Opportunity We’re looking for driven, confident individuals to join our Glasgow team as Business Development Representatives within the business utilities and IT services sector.
No prior sales experience is required — we provide full training and ongoing support to help you build the skills and confidence needed to succeed. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to break into B2B sales, where progression and earnings are directly tied to performance.
The Role As a BDR, your primary focus will be generating new business opportunities by engaging with prospective clients and qualifying their needs. You’ll play a key role in the early stages of the sales cycle, building a strong pipeline for the wider sales team while developing your own commercial expertise in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Prospect and engage potential business clients via phone, email, and outbound outreach
- Introduce business utilities and IT service solutions to decision‑makers
- Identify and qualify leads through effective questioning and needs analysis
- Build rapport quickly and communicate confidently with senior stakeholders
- Generate and nurture new business opportunities for the sales pipeline
- Accurately log activity and manage leads within CRM systems
- Consistently meet and exceed individual activity and performance targets
- Strong communication skills and confidence engaging new people
- Interest in building a career in B2B sales or business development
