B2B Sales, Business Development
The Future Forest Company (FFC) is a B Corp-certified ecological restoration company managing 12 UK sites across Scotland and Yorkshire. We're hiring a Sales Executive to help more businesses fund real nature restoration across the UK.
This is a new-business, full-cycle sales role where you'll help us scale a product with early traction. You'll open doors, run the full sales cycle and close, turning early traction in a new category into a recognised, trusted product that businesses choose to back. Every deal you win puts money into the ground: native trees, peatland restored and habitats brought back across our UK sites.
You'll lead sales for IMPACT, our newly launched biodiversity sponsorship subscription is a monthly programme that funds UK nature restoration and gives businesses seasonal, defensible impact reporting (GIS, biodiversity indicators, habitat data) for their ESG, CSRD and B Corp disclosure. This is the first hire into our commercial function, with real autonomy and a clear path to growing into ownership of the product line as it scales.
WHATYOU'LL DO
- Own outbound — identify and open prospective clients across corporates and SMEs from a defined target list
- Live in the pipeline — high-tempo, targeted outreach and calling, not waiting on inbound
- Run the full sales cycle: prospect, pitch, proposal, negotiate and close
- Tailor proposals that articulate the value of a subscription delivering real, reportable nature restoration
- Open and progress larger enterprise deals, with senior commercial support at the table
- Host and convert on-site "Site Days" into live opportunities
- Use our lead-generation engine (AI outreach tooling, CRM) to turn signal into qualified conversations
- Account-manage warm TNT event partners and prospect new ones
- Keep CRM, pipeline and forecast clean, and feed market signal back into positioning and pricing
- 2–4 years' B2B sales experience with demonstrable, personally-closed wins — ideally in sustainability, environmental impact, or SaaS/subscription
- A genuine hunter, energised by outbound and cold pipeline — you open doors rather than wait for them to open
- A proven closer — you've personally closed deals, not just booked meetings
- Resilience for a new-category sale in a cold market — you'll hear "no" often before the flywheel turns
- A consultative approach, able to engage and influence at sustainability, ESG and B Corp leadership level
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, written and in person
- Confident with CRM, AI tooling and structured sales methodology
- Organised and self-directed — able to own a pipeline and forecast without hand-holding
- Coachable and ambitious, motivated by a genuine path to ownership
- Experience selling a new, disruptive or category-defining product
- Familiarity with ESG, CSRD, B Corp or nature/biodiversity reporting
- Experience with subscription or recurring-revenue sales models
- An existing network among corporate sustainability, ESG or procurement leads
- Join a certified B Corp that measures success not by how busy we look, but by what genuinely changes on the land
- The first hire into our commercial function — real autonomy and a clear path to owning the product line
- Opportunity to build and scale a new product category
- The satisfaction of seeing your pipeline become measurable nature restoration across the UK
- Our track record: 1.5M+ native trees planted, 73ha peatland restored, 12 UK sites managed
Competitive base salary + performance-based commission. Full-time, permanent.
