Role Description

The Regional Sales Manager – North of England & Scotland is a full-time, remote role, with regular travel across the assigned territory. The role involves managing and growing sales of hook loaders, skip loaders, and related equipment, building strong relationships with new and existing customers, and identifying opportunities in key markets such as waste management and transport. Day-to-day tasks include visiting customers and prospects, preparing quotations and tender responses, negotiating pricing, and tracking sales performance against targets.

The Regional Sales Manager will collaborate closely with internal teams in engineering, production, and aftersales to ensure customer requirements are met and service levels are maintained. The role also includes market research, competitor analysis, attendance at trade events, and accurate reporting of pipeline and forecasts to senior management.

Qualifications
  • Proven experience in regional or field sales, ideally within the Waste Industry, commercial vehicles, engineering equipment, or related industrial sectors.
  • Strong skills in relationship building, customer account management, and territory development.
  • Ability to conduct effective negotiations, prepare quotations, and close sales in line with company commercial objectives.
  • Solid understanding of technical products or engineering concepts, with the ability to learn and explain equipment features and benefits.
  • Competence in using CRM systems, MS Office applications, and basic reporting tools to manage pipelines and sales data.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with a professional and inclusive approach to working with diverse stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working autonomously while coordinating closely with on-site teams in Wolverhampton.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively across the North of England and Scotland.
  • Relevant education or training in sales, business, engineering, or a related field is beneficial.
