Help us create a better future, quicker

At Scottish Power, we're looking for a Cyber Security and Business Continuity professional to join our team and help strengthen how we protect our systems, data, and operations.

What You'll Be Doing

This is a varied, hands‑on role where you'll support the planning, delivery and continuous improvement of cyber security and business continuity across the Customer Business. Working alongside a team of experienced security professionals, you'll play a key part in keeping our operations secure, resilient, and aligned with industry standards.

You’ll be involved in everything from incident identification and response through to risk management, third‑party assurance, and recovery planning. A big part of the role is reviewing how we currently work, identifying where we can improve, and helping to implement changes that make a real difference to our overall security posture.

You’ll also collaborate with teams across the wider Iberdrola Group, as well as external partners, giving you exposure to a global cyber function and the opportunity to contribute to wider strategic initiatives. At the same time, you’ll stay close to day‑to‑day operations, helping ensure our services are delivered effectively and consistently.

What You'll Bring

We're looking for someone with a background in cyber security and/or business continuity within an IT environment, ideally with experience across monitoring, incident response, or service delivery. Knowledge of frameworks like ISO 27001 or 22301 is helpful, and any experience with tools such as SIEM, SOAR, XDR or vulnerability management would be an advantage.

You’ll need to be confident communicating with stakeholders at all levels, able to translate technical risks into clear, practical insights. Strong problem‑solving skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to balance strategic thinking with operational delivery will be key to success.

If you're looking for a role where you can develop your career while making a real impact in a global, forward‑thinking organisation, we’d love to hear from you.

What's in it for you

As well as a competitive salary which is reviewed annually, you can also enjoy a number of other benefits. With our pension scheme, we’ll double match your contribution up to a company contribution of 10%.

At Scottish Power, we believe it's the little things we do in life that make a big difference. From helping you look after your family's wellbeing, save for your future and take personal steps for climate action - our benefits are designed to help you do just that - so that you have everything you need to take care of your world - today and tomorrow.

That's why our benefits include:

  • 36 days annual leave
  • Holiday purchase - perfect your work/life balance with extra annual leave
  • Share Incentive Plan and Sharesave Scheme
  • Payroll giving and charity matched funding
  • Technology Vouchers - save more and spread the cost of your technology purposes
  • Count us in - pledge to reduce carbon emissions and help fight climate change
  • Electric Vehicle Schemes - to help you transition to green/clean driving
  • Cycle to Work scheme and public transport season ticket loans
  • Options to purchase dental insurance, private medical insurance, health cash plan and annual health assessments
  • Life Assurance (4x salary)
  • Access to 'nudge' financial wellbeing support
  • Plus shopping, leisure, restaurant and gym discounts, and unique employee deals on travel insurance and more
