A hands-on role, you’ll lead the development and delivery of our information security programme, protecting our systems, data, and digital assets from evolving threats.

This is a hybrid role, with two days a week expected in the London office.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop,implement,andmaintaintheorganisation'sinformationsecuritystrategy,policies,standards,andproceduresinalignmentwithbusinessobjectivesandregulatoryrequirements.
  • Provideexpertadviceandguidanceoninformationsecuritymatterstovariousstakeholdersacrosstheorganisation.
  • Overseethe day-to-dayoperationofsecuritysystemsandtools,including firewalls,intrusion detection/prevention systems(IDS/IPS),antivirus,anti-malware,SIEM(Security Information and Event Management ),vulnerability scanners,anddataencryptionsolutions.
  • Managevulnerabilitymanagementprograms,includingregularscanning,penetration testing,andremediationofidentifiedweaknesses.
  • Developandmaintainrobustdisasterrecoveryandbusinesscontinuityplansrelatedtoinformationsecurity.
  • Ensuretheorganization'sadherencetorelevantinformationsecurityregulations,laws,andindustrystandards(e.g.HIPAA,PCIDSS,NIST,CIS,ISO
    27001,Cyber Essentials+).
  • Coordinateandparticipateininternalandexternalsecurityaudits,provide evidence,andensuretimelyremediationofauditfindings.
  • CollaboratewithITOperationsand

    Infrastructureteamstoensuresecurityisembeddedinthedesign,implementation,andmaintenanceofallITinfrastructure,includingcloudenvironments(e.g.,Azure,AWS,GCP),networks,servers,and endpoints.
  • Manageaccesscontrolprocessesto3rdpartyapplications,and3rdpartyrelations.
  • Overseethepatchingandconfigurationmanagementofallsystemsandapplicationstoreducetheattacksurface.
  • Asthisroledevelops,weexpecttheneedforadedicatedteamofsecurityprofessionals.

    Thispositionwillthenberesponsiblefortheteam’sservicedelivery,including leadership,mentoring,andgeneralsupportofteamtasks.
  • Managerelationshipswiththird-partysecurityvendorsandserviceproviders.
  • PrepareandmanagetheITsecuritybudget,ensuringoptimalallocationofresources.
  • Communicatesecurityrisks,incidents,andperformancemetricstoseniormanagementandotherstakeholders.
  • Drivecontinuousimprovementinitiativeswithintheinformationsecurityfunction.

Skills, Experience & Personal Attributes

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Experience creating Cyber Security roadmaps.

Strong understanding of information security principles, frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, Cyber Essentials), and best practices.

Hands-on experience with security technologies such as firewalls, SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners, endpoint detection and response (EDR), and identity management solutions.

Experience with cloud security (e.g., Azure Security).

Proven experience in managing security incidents and conducting incident response.

Familiarity with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR).

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.

Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical audiences.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
