GTG Training are recruiting for an Apprentice Parts Technician on behalf of an independent garage. This is a fantastic opportunity for those who are ready to advance their career within the automotive industry.

• Work full time in a garage workshop
• Job based in Glasgow

The Modern Apprenticeship Programmes allow apprentices to work full time and earn while they learn, putting theory into practice within a training environment.

Apprentices will gain experience in all operating systems within their own parts department and will have the opportunity to put theory into practice within their own facility. Customer facing and parts identification units will be undertaken, ensuring apprentices will be able to meet and exceed their organisation's customer expectations.

Receiving and dispatching parts, dealing with customer enquiries, and sourcing parts for customers and technical staff.

Basic motor vehicle technology, telephone and sales techniques.

• National 4 or above in English and Maths (expected to be gained or already achieved)
• Admin or Computer Studies subject preferred but not essential

• Desire to kickstart a career in the automotive industry and keen to learn
• Dedicated with a proactive approach to work and learning
• Ability to prioritise and work to timelines
• Willingness to work in a practical environment using one's own initiative
• Full UK driving licence preferred but not essential
