Relief Children's Worker

About the Role

In this rewarding role you will deliver person‑centred care tailored to each child’s individual needs, including personal care, communication, emotional well‑being and daily activities that promote independence and self‑esteem.

• Support personal care, communication, emotional well‑being and daily activities that promote independence and self‑esteem.
• Work closely with families, therapists and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for each child.
• Use creativity, warmth and a sense of fun to build confidence and create meaningful experiences.
• Provide care within a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment.
• Adhere to work schedules, including evenings and weekends as required.

• Genuine passion for working with children with disabilities.
• Empathy, patience and willingness to learn.
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
• SVQ Level 3 in Social Services (Children and Young People) is ideal; support to achieve it if not yet held.
• Member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and successful completion of vetting checks.
• Registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC). Must meet registration standards.
• Valid UK work permit or entitlement to work in the UK.
• Respect the Christian ethos and be able to work within it.
