As a Lead Practitioner, you'll help shape the daily experiences of children and young people while providing leadership and guidance to your team. From planning meaningful activities to supporting important life decisions, you'll play a key role in helping young people build confidence, develop skills and achieve positive outcomes.

About you

You will be an experienced practitioner who enjoys supporting both children and colleagues to succeed. You will be organised, confident and able to balance leadership responsibilities with direct support for children and young people. We are looking for someone who recognises the importance of creating positive experiences, encouraging participation and helping young people discover their strengths and interests. Children and Young Person Care Mentor – GIRFEC Lead Practitioner will be required to be registered with Scottish Social Services Council [SSSC] and have or attain within the registration period the minimum qualification of HNC Social Care and SVQ Level 3.

A full manual driving licence, SSSC registration and PVG Scheme membership are essential.
