This is a unique opportunity to play a leading role in the development, delivery and quality assurance of evidence-based groupwork programmes and structured offending behaviour interventions across East Renfrewshire. Working alongside experienced practitioners and managers, you will provide professional leadership and specialist support in the delivery of interventions with individuals presenting complex needs and varying levels of risk.

As part of this role, you will be responsible for supporting the coordination, development and oversight of Justice Social Work groupwork programmes, promoting best practice, providing guidance to colleagues and contributing to service improvement activity. You will help ensure interventions are delivered consistently, effectively and in line with national standards, evidence-based practice and legislative requirements. This role will also contribute to workforce development, programme evaluation and ongoing service transformation within Justice Social Work.

We are looking for someone who is a qualified and registered Social Worker with substantial experience of working within Justice Social Work. You will have a strong understanding of risk assessment and risk management, experience of working with individuals involved in offending behaviour, and the ability to provide professional leadership and support to colleagues. You will be able to demonstrate sound judgement, effective communication skills and a commitment to achieving positive outcomes for individuals and communities.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have experience of delivering or overseeing accredited or structured offending behaviour programmes, practice development and quality assurance activity, and supporting services to implement evidence-based approaches in a justice setting. Experience of domestic abuse and sexual offending interventions and working with high-risk and complex cases would be advantageous.

This post offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced Justice Social Worker to develop advanced practice skills, influence service development and help shape the future delivery of structured interventions within East Renfrewshire.
