As a Relief Support Practitioner, you will play an important role in maintaining stability for children and young people by providing cover across shifts when required.
You will need to be ready to step in, adapt quickly and deliver consistent care, even when working with different teams or young people.
- Supporting children and young people in a residential setting
- Maintaining routines and providing structure
- Responding to emotional and behavioural needs
- Working alongside colleagues to deliver consistent care
- Completing records and contributing to care plans
You will hold, or be willing to work towards, an HNC in Social Care and SVQ Level 3 and must hold a full manual driving licence.

This post requires you to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and undertake the necessary vetting checks. You will also be required to be registered with SSSC and it is your professional responsibility to ensure that you meet the standards and criteria for registration.
