Location: Glasgow or Bournemouth
Project: Large-scale financial services delivery programme
Contract Role

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Engineer to join a high-performing delivery team working on a major transformation programme within the financial services sector. This role involves building scalable, secure, and high-quality software solutions that support complex business operations across multiple teams and technical domains.

You will work in a cloud‑first, agile environment and be responsible for delivering end‑to‑end features—from user interface development through to backend engineering. The ideal candidate will act as a subject‑matter expert, contribute to technical decision‑making, and help maintain strong engineering standards across the team.

• Design and implement scalable, efficient full‑stack software solutions
• Develop end‑to‑end features across frontend and backend systems
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features
• Apply cloud‑first and agile principles to solve technical challenges
• Participate in code reviews and drive best‑practice development standards
• Mentor junior engineers and support a culture of learning and improvement
• Contribute to architectural discussions and technical direction across teams

Essential:

• Advanced proficiency in Java (P3 – Advanced)

Preferred / Intermediate Proficiency:

• Behavior‑Driven Development (BDD)
• Kubernetes
• Spring Boot
• Terraform
• Oracle Database

• Work on a high‑impact programme within a major financial services environment
• Collaborate with experienced engineering teams using modern technologies
