*** Scottish Power is looking for a talented Lead Mobile Engineer to join our Digital team in Glasgow on a hybrid basis. This is an exciting opportunity to take a leading role in the development of our flagship “Your Energy” mobile applications for both iOS and Android, helping us deliver high‑quality digital experiences that support our ambition to create a better future, quicker.

*** What You’ll Be Doing
*** In this role, you will guide the technical direction of our mobile products, shaping the vision and roadmap while ensuring they align with business goals and evolving customer needs. You’ll lead engineering, security and technology improvements across our apps, oversee the delivery of major projects, and work proactively to identify and resolve risks. You’ll take responsibility for reviewing and approving technical designs to ensure consistency, scalability and long‑term maintainability, while promoting best practices in secure coding, accessibility and observability.

Collaboration will be a key part of your day-to-day work, partnering closely with Product, Design, Security and QA teams to drive successful outcomes. You will help build a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, mentoring and supporting mobile engineers as they grow. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills will be essential as you help guide teams and deliver high-impact solutions at pace.
*** What You’ll Bring
*** We’re looking for someone with proven experience leading mobile application delivery at scale, with a strong foundation in native iOS and Android development. You should be confident working with CI/CD pipelines, automation tools and version control, as well as familiar with mobile observability, analytics platforms and accessibility best practices. Knowledge of mobile security testing and remediation will also be important.
