Full stack Developer

Join Barclays as a Full Stack Developer. We’re looking for a talented developer to design, build, and maintain scalable applications across both front‑end and back‑end technologies, working with modern frameworks and cloud technologies to deliver high‑quality digital solutions.

This role is based in Glasgow.

• Develop and deliver high‑quality software solutions using industry‑aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensure code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration aligned with business objectives.
• Participate in code reviews, promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
• Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations, actively contribute to the organization’s technology community.
• Adhere to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities and protect sensitive data.
• Implement effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.

• Strong knowledge of Java
• Experience with the Spring framework
• Proficiency in React

• Familiarity with Micronaut
• Experience with AWS (Amazon Web Services)
• Understanding of cloud‑native application development

• Degree or equivalent experience in computer science or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
