HGV Class 2 Driver

Drive specialised catering trucks directly onto airport runways and work alongside aircraft crews in the secure airside environment at Glasgow Airport.

You’ll operate modern specialised catering trucks in Glasgow Airport’s secure airside environment. Your role involves transporting and loading catering uplifts onto different aircraft types, from small business jets to commercial airliners.

• Driving HGV 15-18 tonne company vehicles in secure airside areas
• Carrying out vehicle checks prior to use
• Loading and unloading catering uplifts to aircraft
• Working with flight crews and ground handling suppliers
• Maintaining vehicle cleanliness and tidiness
• Following Road Traffic Acts and Airport By‑laws
• Bar and stores packing, search and sealing duties
• Additional warehouse duties as required

• Valid clean HGV CAT C Driving Licence (up to 3 points considered)
• Digital Tachograph knowledge and card
• Airport Airside Driving experience advantageous
• Knowledge of Road Traffic Act

• £18.30 per hour
• 04:00-16:00 or 06:00-18:00 shifts (3 on 3 off)

All applicants must have the right to work in the UK, undertake a CRC (Criminal Record Check) and provide 5 years of checkable referencing history. For any time spent outside the UK exceeding 6 months, you must be able to provide a CRC (Criminal Record Check) for that country.
