Graduate Transport Planner – Transport Planning Scotland (Edinburgh or Glasgow).
Start date:
November 2026.
As a Graduate Transport Planner, you will support the successful delivery of transport projects from inception to detailed design. You will work with experienced consultants to collect, analyse and appraise transportation data, produce technical reports and collaborate with cross‑disciplinary colleagues to deliver client solutions.
Responsibilities- Collect, analyse and appraise data related to transport systems, including traffic patterns, public transport usage and demographic data.
- Provide day‑to‑day technical input as part of a team of consultants.
- Produce clear, well‑reasoned and persuasive reports that effectively interpret data and communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Ensure outputs are completed within scope, timescales and budget.
- Collaborate with colleagues from other disciplines to deliver project requirements and add value to the client.
- Engage with the Transport Planning Society’s Professional Development Scheme to progress toward Chartered Transport Planning Professional accreditation.
- Degree relevant to the role.
- Less than 12 months of relevant work experience (excluding placements).
- Confident in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint).
- Driven, proactive and solution‑oriented.
- Eligible to work in the UK without restrictions now or in the future.
- Two‑year blended learning programme with virtual and face‑to‑face delivery.
