Experienced Class 2 HGV HIAB Driver
- Temp to Perm position in Glasgow area.

Working for a busy client focusing on excellent customer service, safety and operational quality. We are looking for an experienced Class 2 HGV Driver to join our Glasgow client. You will play a key role in delivering products safely and efficiently to our customers across the region.

Working for one of the UK's leading distributors of heating, pipeline, process and mechanical services equipment, supplying customers across the Building Services and Industrial sectors. This is a multi-drop delivery role, so we are looking for a driver who is comfortable working to a schedule, managing multiple deliveries throughout the day and representing the business professionally when dealing with customers.

The Role

As a Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of a wide range of products to our customers. Deliveries can vary considerably, from smaller boxed and packaged goods through to heavier and more awkward loads, including lengths of pipe, fittings, pumps, valves and other industrial and mechanical products.

The role will involve:

  • Carrying out multi-drop deliveries to customers across the Glasgow area and surrounding regions.
  • Ensuring all goods are loaded, secured and transported safely and in accordance with relevant legislation.
  • Completing thorough pre- and post-shift vehicle checks and ensuring the vehicle remains roadworthy.
  • Operating the vehicle safely and responsibly at all times.
  • Completing deliveries accurately using electronic Proof of Delivery (EPoD) systems.
  • Maintaining accurate records of deliveries and any issues encountered during the delivery process.
  • Communicating effectively with the branch team, customers and transport colleagues.
  • Managing delivery schedules and dealing with any challenges or changes that arise during the day.
  • Providing a professional and customer-focused service at every delivery.
Required

A valid HIAB certificate and experience operating a lorry-mounted crane would be preferred but not essential

The client may also consider candidates who have the right attitude and relevant delivery experience but may require additional HIAB training.
