Murray Recruitment are recruiting a Storeperson for our client based in East Kilbride. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established organisation operating within the industrial and engineering supply sector, supporting warehouse operations and ensuring the efficient handling of stock and customer orders.

Role Overview

The Storeperson will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the warehouse, ensuring goods are received, stored, picked, packed and dispatched accurately. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining stock accuracy, supporting operational efficiency, and ensuring high standards of housekeeping and health & safety are maintained throughout the warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, unload and inspect incoming deliveries, checking goods against delivery documentation.
  • Accurately book stock into the warehouse management system.
  • Store products safely and efficiently within designated warehouse locations.
  • Pick, pack and prepare customer orders for dispatch in line with company procedures.
  • Conduct regular stock checks and assist with stocktaking activities.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and update internal systems as required.
  • Operate warehouse equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Ensure all goods are handled carefully to prevent damage.
  • Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
  • Support colleagues and assist with general warehouse duties as required.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience within a warehouse, stores or logistics environment.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Basic IT skills and experience using stock control or warehouse systems.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to undertake manual handling duties..
  • A proactive and reliable approach to work.

Offering

  • Salary £24,000 - £28,000 per annum, depending on experience.
