Adjunct Faculty – M.A. in Counseling in Educational Setting Instructor & Practicum/Internship Supervisor, Department of Wellness and Inclusive Services in Education
The Department of Wellness and Inclusive Services in Education operates within the College of Education and offers programs including the following:
Master of Arts in Special Education and Inclusive Practices;
Learning Disability Teacher Consultant (LDTC) Certification; multiple Certificates of Graduate Study (COGS);
Bachelor of Arts in Inclusive Education;
Teacher of Students with Disabilities (TOSD) Endorsement (post-bac and graduate programs);
Counseling in Educational Settings;
Master of Arts in School Psychology;
Educational Specialist in School Psychology; and School Nursing.
The College of Education is seeking a qualified and experienced school counselor and/or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to supervise field experiences and/or teach professional courses within the M.A. in Counseling in Educational Settings program. The successful candidate should be familiar with the professional standards of the American Counseling Association (ACA) and American School Counselor Association (ASCA), including the ASCA National Model, as well as the 2024 Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP) Standards.
This is a part-time, adjunct position with the possibility of renewal.
- Earned master’s degree in school counseling, counseling, or a closely related field, and/or hold an active Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) credential.
- Effective use of learning management systems (e.g., Canvas).
- Ability to facilitate engaging online, hybrid, and face-to-face instruction.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to mentor and support students from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to assess student learning outcomes and provide constructive feedback.
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and staff.
- Ability to integrate relevant professional and human services experience into classroom instruction.
