Job Description

You will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as manufacturing and industrial, and more, in Clayton, NJ. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Part‑Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas to deter security‑related incidents while remaining highly visible and interacting with individuals on‑site, providing outstanding customer service and maintaining clear communication.

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service by following security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the manufacturing and industrial location, including the business premises and perimeter areas.
• Observe and report any suspicious activities or security‑related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points to deter unauthorized access.
• Collaborate with site staff and Allied Universal management to address security‑related needs and concerns specific to the manufacturing and industrial environment.
• Complete required reports and documentation accurately and in a timely manner following incidents or routine activities.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 2 years of security‑related experience.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation and drug screen as required by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and local laws; may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.
