An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Estimator/Designer to join the Crendon Timber Engineering team. You will be responsible for producing detailed, accurate designs for our products to meet customer/business requirements. We are looking for an individual with a natural ability to build rapport with customers and technical knowledge and experience in Truss and/or Posi‑Joist floor design.

• Interpret customer requirements and estimator quotations to provide efficient and professional designs, ensuring targets are achieved and contractual obligations are fulfilled.
• Prepare formal RFIs as required.
• Liaise with customers and provide a knowledgeable service.
• Liaise with colleagues to ensure designs take into consideration costs, targets and manufacturing capacity & capability.

• Good understanding of IT (use of Microsoft Office 365 suite).
• Confident written and verbal communication skills required to liaise with colleagues and customers.
• Experience with CAD based programs desirable but not essential as full training will be provided on bespoke design package (MiTek PAMIR).
• Able to work as part of a small team but have self‑motivation to work alone to meet deadlines and customer expectations.
• Passionate about exceeding customer expectations and providing excellent customer service.
