About the RoleWe are seeking a motivated and experienced Project Manager in Bridge Design to join our Transportation Division in Glastonbury, CT. - Lead a team of multidisciplinary engineers.
- Oversee all aspects of Bridge Design.
- Manage projects and meet agreed‑upon budgets and schedules.
- Make public presentations.
- Perform quality control reviews.
- Assist with the development of staff, including workloads, training and career planning.
- Develop or review all aspects of engineering studies including data collection, models, plans and estimates.
- Work with state or municipal clients on bridge infrastructure projects, including design and management of public state, county and city projects.
- Develop new and existing client relationships and business development opportunities.
- Assist with proposal preparation to secure new work.
- Serve as Bridge Discipline lead on pursuits and opportunities.
- Represent MJ at industry and professional society events.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
- Professional Engineer license required; ability to apply for comity in other states.
- 10+ years of progressive bridge engineering analysis, design and project management experience.
- Project experience with DOT required.
- Self‑starter who thrives in a dynamic environment.
- Business development relationship skills.
- Public presentation experience required.
- Strong business development skills and experience are a plus.
- Experience obtaining federal, state and local regulatory approvals and permits.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Track record of financial success, delivering projects on time and on budget.
- Effective participation as part of a project team, developing and maintaining client relations, and meeting project demands and schedules.
- Competitive salary with a pay range of $55‑$85 per hour commensurate with experience and location.
- Performance‑based incentive payment plan/bonus structure.
