Senior Tax Accountant

A multigenerational, holistic financial services firm with a strong presence in Connecticut is seeking an experienced tax professional to join its Glastonbury office. The firm offers comprehensive financial planning, wealth management, and tax advisory services, and prides itself on a modern, collaborative culture recognized nationally among top workplaces in the RIA industry. This role supports a growing tax preparation and planning practice within a Registered Investment Advisory (RIA) environment.

• Prepare and review individual, fiduciary, exempt organization, corporate, and partnership tax returns in accordance with federal and state regulations.
• Calculate and prepare estimated federal and state tax payments for individuals and businesses.
• Develop and implement tax and financial planning strategies.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate review of financial statements with an emphasis on compliance and tax efficiency.
• Stay current on tax law changes and maintain a strong commitment to ongoing professional education.
• Interpret, research, and respond to IRS and state tax agency correspondence.

• CPA highly preferred; EA also considered.
• Minimum 5 years of experience preparing and reviewing federal and state tax returns.
• Background in tax planning and coordination with wealth management services.
• Strong client-facing experience and communication skills.
• Experience in the RIA industry preferred.
• Proficiency with tax software such as Lacerte, Tax Dome, and Sure Prep;
  Microsoft Office; and Quick Books Online/Desktop.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Supervisory experience is a plus, with interest in future managerial responsibilities.
• Excellent customer service mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
