Description

Projects Inc. is seeking an experienced Tool & Die Maker. The company manufactures complex small machined components for the Aerospace and Power Generation industries and has been in business for over fifty years. The Tool & Die Maker will report to the Manufacturing Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret technical blueprints and design models.
  • Operate and maintain machines such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders.
  • File, grind, shim, and adjust parts for proper fit.
  • Inspect finished dies for quality and defects.
  • Perform quality checks and test runs on tools and dies.
  • Modify and repair tools, dies, fixtures, and gauges.
  • Follow safety regulations and maintain a clean workspace.
  • Use CAD software to design and modify tools and dies.
  • Coordinate with engineers and production staff to meet requirements.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machinery.
  • Measure finished parts to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Assemble, disassemble, and test products for quality and functionality.
  • Repair damaged tools and dies as needed.
  • Inspect finished products for defects and standards compliance.
  • Perform tasks within the scope of the job description to support department goals.
  • Minimum Requirements
    • High School Diploma
    • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for up to 8 hours.
    • Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
    • Ability to learn and follow instructions.
    • Basic computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel.
