Projects Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Manufacturing Quality Control Inspector to join our team. We manufacture complex small, machined components for the aerospace and power systems industries and have been in business for over fifty years. The qualified candidate will report directly to the Quality Manager and be responsible for performing inspection on machined and assembled parts to ensure that the final product meets all customer drawings, specifications, and quality requirements prior to being shipped.

This includes First Piece, In‑Process, and Final Inspection.

Job Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular inspection of all aerospace products to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Create and maintain detailed records of all inspections and tests performed.
  • Work with other departments to ensure all products are manufactured to the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Stay up to date with industry standards and regulations to ensure our products meet all relevant requirements.
  • Inspect for proper identity and dimensions using measuring devices; visually inspect for defects or damage such as corrosion, cracks, dents, scratches, and pits.
  • Perform technical evaluations of product requirements, specifications, models/designs, drawings, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with program management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and customers on quality‐related issues to ensure quality standards are in place.
  • Read and understand blueprint drawings and customer requirements, specifications, and purchase orders.
  • Review material and sub‑contractor certifications for accuracy and completeness.
  • Use a wide variety of inspection tools and equipment (micrometers, verniers, height gauges, OHM meter, impedance meter, borescope, etc.) and monitor calibrations of measuring devices and equipment.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent with additional education or certification in quality control or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing quality control role in the aerospace industry.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent problem‑solving skills.
  • Familiarity with quality control tools and techniques.
  • Experience with MCL/LCS requirements and duties (a strong plus).
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with computers and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001 requirements is a plus.
  • Must read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Must be able to lift or move parts up to 40 lbs.
  • Must have a high sense of urgency and the ability to meet schedule requirements in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
