Overview
Asset Protection Specialist at The Home Depot. The role is primarily responsible for preventing financial loss caused by theft and fraud and supporting safety and environmental program compliance in their assigned store/multiple stores. They utilize tools to minimize loss to the Company, including identifying incidents of theft and fraud, reviewing CCTV and exception reports, monitoring the store's physical security, auditing the Electronic Article Surveillance and driving a shrink elimination culture in the store.
They prepare accurate and detailed case reports documenting apprehensions and recoveries, preserve evidence, interact with law enforcement and testify in criminal and civil court actions. They report hazardous conditions and carry out responsibilities to minimize risk to personnel and customers. They demonstrate integrity and support core asset protection and operational objectives.
- Prevent financial loss caused by theft and fraud and support safety and environmental program compliance in the assigned store or stores.
- Identify incidents of theft and fraud, review CCTV and exception reports, monitor store security, and audit Electronic Article Surveillance.
- Drive a shrink elimination culture in the store.
- Prepare accurate and detailed case reports documenting apprehensions and recoveries; preserve evidence; interact with law enforcement; and testify in criminal and civil actions as required.
- Report hazardous or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty and carry out responsibilities in a manner that minimizes risk of injury to associates, vendors, customers, and the Company.
