Cash Application Specialist
Join Chem Treat as an Accounts Receivable (AR) Cash Application Specialist. The role focuses on preparing, posting, and reconciling payments made to Chem Treat while maintaining accurate AR records.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities- Retrieve lockbox, ACH, and wire data for Domestic and Puerto Rico from Cash Pro Online, Bank of America Global Advice, and Scotia Connect; research and resolve bank discrepancies.
- Reconcile deposits against daily tape; scan checks using remote scanner; distribute miscellaneous income deposits to the Accounting Department.
- Post AR payments accurately and resolve exceptions; mail Canadian checks to Scotia Bank and monitor deposits.
- Prepare invoice adjustments, obtain authorization, and post adjustments against company invoices.
- Upload credit card payments via excel spreadsheet and resolve exceptions.
- Submit EFT requests to vendors, review and process chargebacks, and assist collections with root‑cause analysis on invoices/payments.
- Send out W9 information.
- Review Pay Remits box and assist in posting payments.
- Contact customers with incorrect mailing addresses to provide correct information.
- Coordinate with accounting to review discrepancies for cash applications, bank chargebacks, and reversals.
- Work with the Compliance director to provide AR Cash information requested by Auditors.
- Update cash totals daily for US, International, Puerto, CAD, Credit Cards, and Remote Deposits; weekly for Mexico.
- Provide a weekly report to Controller and Credit and Collections Manager.
- Other duties as assigned.

- High school diploma required;
Bachelor’s degree preferred. - Minimum 3 years’ experience in accounting or related field required.
- Constantly required to sit, walk, stand, climb, balance, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl; use hands and fingers to handle objects and operate computer keyboards.
- Routinely required to reach, squat, turn/twist, or lift, carry, push, or pull up to 20 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

CompensationUS residents: hourly range $25.48 – $26.44 USD. Benefits include paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, and 401(k).
