- Directs engagements, which includes the timeline, budget, schedule, and Associates required.
- Reviews and prepares work papers.
- Assures compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Assists with research and planning according to the current laws and/or Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- May begin to specialize in one specific area of the Firm’s practice.
- Supervises In-Charge Associates and Associates.
- May be responsible for several jobs at one time.
- Participates in proposals and other practice development/marketing activities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- Master’s degree in Accounting preferred.
- 4+ years of public accounting experience preferred.
- CPA designation preferred.
- Intermediate to advanced level Microsoft Office Suite.
- Pro Systems, Engagement or other related software experience preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Highly motivated.
- Willing to stay up to date through continuing education and continuous reading of professional journals.
- Ability to supervise and train Associates.
- Ability to interact well with clients.
- Involved in community/business associations.
