• Responsible for the daily supervision and management of a primary care group of up to 5 children, ranging from 6 weeks to 1 year of age.
• Plans, implements, and supervises the class s daily program according to the philosophy of Leaf Spring School.
• Incorporates principles of age-appropriate growth and development and developmentally appropriate practice in daily lesson plans.

Must complete the Virginia Preservice Training (10-hr training)

THE CANDIDATE MUST POSSESS THE FOLLOWING:

• Must possess a love for children and an ability to relate well with them, their families, and teachers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A positive attitude and work ethic – must be a team player!

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• 6+ months of programmatic experience, working in a licensed and/or accredited child care facility required.
• High School Diploma required. Preferred Bachelor s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Child Development, or another child-related field. (assistance available for those who want to further their degree!)
• Does not have scheduling restrictions between the hours of 6:45 am-6:15 pm
• We will train you and give you valuable industry experience. Daycare, nanny, summer camp, babysitting, Montessori, and Reggio-Emilio experience welcome!
• THE CANDIDATE MUST POSSESS THE FOLLOWING:
