P&C Engineer

Seeking a skilled engineer to lead Protection & Control (P&C) design and cost estimation for Electric Transmission and Distribution Substations ranging from 4kV to 500kV.

• Develop and modify P&C design documents (e.g., relay functional diagrams, panel layouts).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define scope and ensure alignment.
• Prepare cost estimates and maintain accuracy in the estimating database.
• Support project approval processes with conceptual engineering packages.
• Ensure smooth handoff to detailed engineering and construction teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.

• Bachelor's in Engineering (ABET‑accredited or equivalent)
• Strong knowledge of substation components and protection principles
• Proficient in reading/modifying and designing electrical diagrams
• Familiarity with electromechanical & microprocessor‑based systems
• Experience with AutoCAD or Micro Station preferred
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• EIT preferred, PE license a plus

Years of experience in P&C (Protection & Controls) will determine classification:

• Engineer: 2+ years of relevant professional engineering experience
• Senior Engineer: 5+ years of relevant professional engineering experience
• Staff Engineer: 8+ years of relevant professional engineering experience
