Position OverviewThe Deep Cleaning Housekeeping Associate is responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness, sanitation, and safety throughout the hotel. This role includes cleaning assigned guest rooms, replenishing supplies, vacuuming, cleaning windows, and ensuring all areas meet Marriott brand standards. This industry operates 24/7, and regular, dependable attendance is essential for success in this role.
Education & Experience- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- 1-2 years of hospitality or housekeeping experience preferred
- Previous guest or customer service training a plus
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to lift/transport up to 50 lbs and push/pull carts up to 200 lbs
- Ability to stand, bend, reach overhead, and move throughout work areas for up to 8 hours
- Must be able to work a varied schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and equipment
- Knowledge of proper chemical handling and safety procedures
- Ability to work in guest rooms, corridors, housekeeping offices, and areas with variable temperatures, noise, odors, dust, and cleaning chemicals
- Ability to interact professionally with guests, coworkers, and management
- Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended.
- Use all chemicals in accordance with OSHA regulations and hotel requirements.
- Complete daily report as instructed by supervisor.
- Enter and prepare the room for cleaning.
- Cleans guest bathroom/bedroom/floor corridor.
- Dusts the room and furniture.
- Clean the bathroom, remove soil, dirt, soap buildup and hair from bathroom mirrors, vanity, sink, toilet, shower walls, bathtub, shower curtain and floor.
- Vacuum the carpet.
- Sweep and mop areas in front of elevators; clean all trash cans, and clean elevator track.
