The Product Manager will lead strategic planning and execution for complex Master Data Management (MDM) initiatives within the MDM Product Platform, supporting systems such as VA Profile, VADIR/VIS, and HDR. This role is responsible for defining solution intent, prioritizing features, and ensuring alignment between business objectives and technical implementation. The Product Manager will collaborate with cross‑functional teams—including Architecture, Development Scrum, Data Hydration, and Compliance—to deliver scalable, compliant, and Veteran‑focused solutions.

- Product Vision and Strategy:
Build a forward‑looking MDM product vision that aligns with enterprise priorities, drives data governance maturity, and positions the platform as a strategic enabler across VA. - Roadmap Development:
Lead the development of a dynamic MDM roadmap that brings together stakeholder needs, technical constraints, and strategic imperatives to accelerate value delivery and adoption. - Product Evolution:
Translate business objectives into actionable MDM capabilities by facilitating executive alignment and embedding domain‑driven design principles into product planning. - Stakeholder Management:
Act as a strategic conduit between VA leadership, business units and Agile Release Trains, ensuring cohesive execution, expectation management, and sustained stakeholder engagement. - Product Lifecycle Oversight:
Manage the end‑to‑end MDM product lifecycle, driving iterative delivery, feature prioritization, and post‑launch optimization to maximize business impact and platform scalability. - Cross‑Team Coordination:
Orchestrate cross‑ART collaboration to ensure synchronized execution of MDM strategy, fostering integration, reuse, and consistency across product lines/programs. - Performance Metrics:
Define and track KPIs to measure the MDM product’s success and business impact. - Epic Elaboration & Solution Design:
Decompose large, complex MDM epics into actionable solutions. Collaborate with Architecture and Product SMEs to ensure designs meet scalability, performance, and compliance requirements. - Strategic Decision‑Making:
Drive build vs. buy evaluations for MDM features, balancing cost, compliance (e.g., HIPAA), and integration with VA systems. - Solution Intent & Requirements Capture:
Define and document solution intent, capturing detailed business and technical requirements. Incorporate feedback from Customer Success and Strategy teams to ensure Veteran‑centric outcomes. - Prototyping & Modeling:
Oversee creation of prototypes, business process models, and experience models to validate solution feasibility. - Feature & Story Elaboration:
Break down epics into prioritized features and user stories for Development Scrum Teams. Maintain a clear, actionable backlog aligned with roadmap objectives. - Risk & Dependency Management:
Identify and mitigate cross‑team risks and dependencies, coordinating with the Release Train Engineer (RTE). - Agile Program Management:
Manage large‑scale initiatives within Agile Release Trains (ARTs), ensuring delivery aligns with roadmap and ART schedules.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field; MBA preferred.
- 5+ years in product management or related roles within data or enterprise platforms.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and tools (JIRA, Confluence).
- Familiarity with MDM concepts and data governance.
- Strong strategic thinking and decision‑making abilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage complex initiatives across multiple teams.
- Experience with DoD or VA systems or master data management data platforms.
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks (HIPAA, VA security standards).
- Familiarity with cloud technologies and CI/CD practices.
- Base Pay Range: $150,
- Other Compensation:
Incentive Compensation - All Compensation is commensurate with employee qualifications, experience, and other factors including geographic location, market and operational factors.
