About the Role: Are you a wordsmith who thrives at the intersection of traditional print and cutting-edge digital discoverability? Hamilton Beach Brands is seeking an Editor/Copywriter to lead the strategy, creation, editing and proofreading of our direct-to-consumer and direct-to-market content.

In this hybrid role, you will balance physical collateral needs with modern digital strategy. A majority of your time will be dedicated to writing compelling packaging and product launch kit content, while the remaining work will focus on strategic digital copy. While this role is heavily anchored in packaging, we are looking for a candidate highly competent in digital optimization—someone with strong AI literacy, a deep understanding of Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), and extensive knowledge and experience in modern search best practices.

You will help ensure our products maximize AI discoverability and engagement across all brand websites and retail channels.

What You Will Do:

• Packaging & Product Launch Kits (primary): Lead the copy strategy and creation for product launch kits and physical packaging collateral. You will translate complex product specs into high-converting copy that maximizes sell-through on physical shelves and major e-commerce storefronts (such as Amazon, Walmart, and Target). You will seamlessly write messaging across all brand tiers, maintaining distinct voices for Hamilton Beach, CHI, Clorox Home Appliance, Lotus, and Health Beacon.
• AI Search Strategy & Strategic Digital Writing (secondary): Leverage your strong AI literacy and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) expertise to structure and optimize digital channel copy. You will craft high-converting content for digital tiles, digital campaigns, social media posts, web copy and video scripts designed for maximum AI and modern search engine discoverability.
• Editorial Authority & Compliance: Serve as the final gatekeeper for tone, grammar, and house style across all packaging and digital collateral. You will enforce strict trademark compliance, collaborate with Legal to ensure product claim accuracy, and guarantee 100% error-free output to prevent legal risks and costly reprints.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with our in-house Creative, Digital Content, Digital Marketing, and Legal teams. You will help manage project traffic, maintain workflow timelines, and ensure unified execution across all retail and digital channels.
