RESTAURANT SERVERThis position involves extensive guest interaction and serves as the first point of contact for all dining guests. Team members are responsible for delivering the highest quality of service in a pleasant, efficient, and timely manner. This includes understanding proper table settings, confidently upselling through well-informed and eloquent recommendations, collecting payments, and processing gratuities. The role also requires maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness and sanitation, as well as providing courteous and helpful assistance in all guest interactions.
The hospitality industry operates seven (7) days a week, twenty-four (24) hours a day. Regular and reliable attendance, in accordance with company standards, is essential for success in this position.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:- High school diploma, General Education Degree (GED), or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of food service experience preferred.
- Previous training in liquor, wine, and food service preferred.
- Certification from an alcohol awareness program preferred.
- Valid and current Food Handler's Card required.
- Prior guest or customer relations training preferred.
- Must be at least 21 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages.
- Strong understanding of the English language.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to carry a large oval tray with up to 6 covered dinners (approximately 20 pounds).
- Ability to lift and transport at least 50 pounds and push/pull carts or equipment up to 150 pounds.
- Ability to perform various physical movements throughout the work areas.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with guests, management, and co-workers.
- Must be able to work in food & beverage outlets and throughout the hotel, including environments with variable temperatures, noise levels, and both indoor and outdoor settings.
- Must be able to stand and maintain well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours.
- Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
