Overview
Freight/Receiving role at The Home Depot involves ensuring the store is stocked and ready for business each day. Associates load and unload trucks, move material from the receiving area throughout the store, may operate forklifts, and perform critical functions for maintaining proper on-hands and pricing for customers. Direct customer interaction is frequently required for some positions, and excellent customer service skills are required.
The Freight/Receiving roles may include Freight Team Associate, Freight Team Lead, Receiving Associate, and Receiving Support.
- Load and unload trucks and move material from receiving to the sales floor.
- Operate forklifts where applicable and maintain accurate on-hands and pricing for customers.
- Provide excellent customer service and assist customers as needed.
- Work as part of the Freight/Receiving team. Roles may include Freight Team Associate, Freight Team Lead, Receiving Associate, and Receiving Support.
- Experience in retail or warehouse operations preferred.
- Ability to operate pallet jacks or forklifts and follow safety procedures.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Availability for full-time work.
