Job Description:

* The LC Data Science Manager (DCM
001) will help provide engineering technical and management support in studying, analyzing, and evaluating engineering problems, and developing solutions.

* Support will include assisting in the development of contract documentation and the development of technical plans, specifications, cost estimates relating to the various categories of engineering support services, studies provided, and associated reports.

* This position will be part of a contract team to assist in the preparation of a wide range of engineering and feasibility studies, providing engineering and technical support for design review, performance feasibility studies, and designs of ships, boat, and shipboard systems in support of existing and future vessel acquisition programs. Required Skills and Experiences:
* Able to carry out directions from senior engineers to perform data mining and develop metric studies to identify, collect, process, and analyze large volumes of data to build and enhance products, processes, and systems.

* Review and conduct metric analyses, develop reports, graphs, and databases to reflect design space exploration.

* Conduct data mining and retrieval, and applies statistical and mathematical analyses to identify trends, solve analytical problems, optimize performance, maintenance, and sustainment, and improve overall processes.

* Minimum of 2 years' documented experience applying statistical analysis and data mining to apply, learn, and improve understanding of data.

* Documented experience working with web based collaboration tools (e.g. SharePoint).

* Documented experience with Microsoft Office tools Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access.

* Documented experience with the marine or defense environment preferred. Degree Requirements:
* Must be a U.S. citizen

* A secret security clearance
