Naval Architect Junior

Job Description

• The Junior Naval Architect will help provide engineering technical and management support in studying, analyzing, and evaluating engineering problems, and developing solutions. Support will include assisting in the development of contract documentation and the development of technical plans, specifications, cost estimates relating to the various categories of engineering support services, studies provided, and associated reports.

• This position will be part of a contract team to assist in the preparation of a wide range of engineering and feasibility studies, providing engineering and technical support for design review, performance feasibility studies, and designs of ships, boat, and shipboard systems in support of existing and future vessel acquisition programs.

• Specific duties include;
  Able to carry out directions from senior engineers to perform design calculations and studies. Conduct, witness, and document tests including stability tests, speed, power, maneuvering, and seakeeping trials.

• Must be a U.S. citizen
• A secret security clearance
