Administrative Assistant – Targeted Case Management

Location:

Anne Arundel County, Maryland

Schedule:

Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.;
Part‑time (25 hours/week)

Hourly Compensation: $18 – $19.31/hr (based on experience)

Independence.) is seeking a highly organized and detail‑oriented Administrative Assistant to support our Targeted Case Management program.

Reporting directly to the Clinical Director, this key team member will play an essential role in keeping our programs running smoothly by supporting billing processes, managing client records, and helping our staff provide top‑quality care for adults with Severe Mental Illness (SMI).

What You’ll Do
  • Be the face of our office answering phones and managing daily administrative operations.
  • Maintain accurate billing processes: run progress note reports, verify submissions, and troubleshoot discrepancies.
  • Communicate effectively with CRi’s Billing Department to resolve issues quickly.
  • Regularly generate reports and support program data needs.
  • Input and maintain client records and authorizations in our Electronic Health Record system (Credible).
  • Coordinate daily with Carelon for authorizations and insurance updates.
  • Support multiple programs including Targeted Case Management and HOPWA (Housing Opportunities for Persons With AIDS).
Requirements
  • High School Diploma (college coursework preferred).
  • Excellent computer and data entry skills – familiarity with EHR systems is a plus!
  • Strong time management and communication abilities.
  • A team player who enjoys helping others and can juggle multiple priorities with a smile.
  • Prior customer service experience—especially in healthcare or human services settings.
  • Experience supporting or working with individuals with Severe Mental Illness is highly desirable.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
